Association’s Profile

Chairman's Remarks

The Japan Radio Air Navigation Systems Association (JRANSA) was established in June 1994 as a foundation to provide technical support and conduct research and development for the implementation of next-generation air navigation systems, including the Multi-functional Transport Satellite (MTSAT). Subsequently, due to reforms in the public interest corporation system by GOJ, it transitioned to a general incorporated foundation in May 2013.

This association is involved in performance evaluation and international standardization activities for the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS), and various research and development project related to Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) systems as well as technical support services for international conferences such as ICAO. The focus on overseas technical cooperation is placed by participating in numerous projects by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). In recent years, the GNSS Implementation Plan Training in ASEAN (GIPTA) for ASEAN countries has been hosted by JRANSA. JRANSA will continue to promote the safety of air transportation with a state-of-the-art technologies. Thank you for your continued support.
